Lately I have been watching the news, albeit a bit too much. Watching the Market tumble, watching the economic strength dwindle away...and it saddens me, and motivates me. I know that in my world being creative is my coping skill. I have been in the craft industry for nearly 7 years now, teaching, creating product, consulting etc, one thing i have seen that is constant is.....we all use the creative outlet as our therapy. I really don't want that fun, bright spot in our lives to go by the wayside because of money. Instead i would like to see us stretch our creativity, stretch our funds, stretch our imaginations....and who knows what amazing ideas may come of these trying times.
I have been trying to include money saving ideas in my classes now...ways to add value to your purchases, and add interesting twists to your projects. In my house nothing is safe, if it is able to be cut, painted, dyed, glittered, foiled or stamped....it is making its way into something.
these flowers were made from my packing boxes...(I moved a couple of months ago, and am embarrassed to say i am still unpacking a few more boxes)
What a great idea! They look awesome!

What wonderful flowers! I keep saving bits of cardboard and now I have another thing to create with them. Thanks for sharing.
